Lost Tide Voyage: how to think through its trickier puzzles

July 27, 2026 · Lukas Brandt

Lost Tide Voyage rarely spells anything out, which is both its strength and the reason people get stuck. After finishing it, we've got a few general approaches that unstick most puzzles without needing a full walkthrough.

First, use the journal. It quietly records clues you've encountered, and half the time the solution is sitting right there. When we felt lost, rereading recent entries usually pointed us in the right direction.

Second, revisit places you rushed past. The game hides small details in the environment, and a symbol on one island often unlocks something on another. If a puzzle seems impossible, you probably haven't found its clue yet.

Third, take breaks. This sounds like a cop-out, but the calm pacing means there's no penalty for stepping away, and fresh eyes solved several puzzles that stumped us for ages.

The whole experience is designed around noticing things, so slow down and look around. The satisfaction of cracking a puzzle yourself is worth resisting the urge to look it up.
