Big Bass 3in1

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

We spent a full weekend with Big Bass 3in1 and it turned into the go-to game for those five-minute gaps in the day. As the name suggests, it bundles three fishing mini-modes into one app, and the loop is pleasantly straightforward: cast, watch the water, and tap when the moment feels right. The tap timing has a bit of a rhythm to it, and once it clicks you start reading the ripples almost automatically.

Controls are all touch and there's almost nothing to fight with. A single tap to cast, a swipe to steer the line in one of the modes, and clear on-screen prompts telling you what to do next. The three modes vary just enough to keep things from getting stale, one leans into quick reflexes while another is calmer and lets you take your time picking a spot.

What surprised us most was how good it looks for such a small game. The water animation is smooth, the fish models have some character, and the sound design is genuinely relaxing. It's not a deep game and it doesn't try to be, but as a low-stress way to unwind it does exactly what it sets out to do.
